In Bangkok, a mystical blend of old and new, you'll cruise the canals and rivers in traditional boats, see the floating market, and revel in the extreme opulence of the Grand Palace. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Singapore
Welcome to the Orient Circle tour of Singapore, Chiang Mai, Bangkok and Hong Kong. Experience first-hand the beauty and intrigue of this region. Package price shown does not include airfare to/from the USA.

Day 2: Singapore
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of this exotic city. Drive along Singapore's downtown area of Orchard Road and travel through the colorful neighborhood of Little India. See the Arab Quarter and China Town, and visit the Botanical Gardens. This evening, enjoy a Singapore Sling at the landmark Raffles Hotel before heading to dinner in the downtown area. Following dinner, see the city at night on an included tour. (B, D)

Day 3: Singapore
A visit to the Singapore Zoo includes a tram ride and very popular animal show. Later, visit the Mandai Orchid Garden before returning to the city. Dinner this evening is at the Alkaff Mansion, built in the 1920s as the hilltop retreat of a wealthy Arab family. (B, D)

Day 4: Singapore - Chiang Mai
Today you arrive in Chiang Mai, Thailand's second largest city. Known as the "Rose of the North," this lovely city has managed to retain its old-world culture. You will tour the cottage industries of this area and see artisans at work. You may shop for silk, silverware, teakwood and lacquer at bargain prices. Tonight you will see the Hill Tribe Cultural Show to experience fascinating traditions and dances. (B, D)

Day 5: Chiang Mai - Teak Forest - Chiang Mai
A scenic drive to the hills outside of Chiang Mai brings you to the heart of the Teak Forest where you will witness elephants at work. Next, travel into the mountains and through the countryside to visit a Hill Tribe Village. Returning to Chiang Mai, the remainder of your day is at leisure. (B, D)

Day 6: Chiang Mai - Pasang - Chiang Mai
Traveling north through the beautiful rural countryside, visit the famous Wat Prathart Haripoonchai in Lamphun, built in 1157. It is one of the most sacred monuments of the north. A stop in the village of Pasang, noted for its high quality silk and cotton weaving, completes the afternoon. (B, D)

Day 7: Chiang Mai - Bangkok
Depart Chiang Mai for the fascinating city of Bangkok. You travel to the Rose Garden, a picturesque country resort and tropical paradise with over 50 acres of flower gardens and orchards. At a typical Thai village show, you can witness ordination into the monkhood, fingernail dancing, Thai boxing, sword fighting and traditional dance. Enjoy dinner at an authentic Thai restaurant featuring classic Thai dancing. The beauty and gentle grace of your Thai hosts are sure to enchant you. (B, D)

Day 8: Bangkok
Touring today includes a visit to Damnoen Saduak and an exciting cruise of the legendary canals, known as Klongs, in a traditional long-tailed boat. Afterwards, there will be time to shop for bargains at the local floating market before traveling to Kanchanaburi to visit the famous Bridge on the River Kwai. (B, L, D)

Day 9: Bangkok
Tour three of the most unusual Buddhist temples: the Golden Buddha, the Reclining Buddha and Chedis of the Kings. Visit the Grand Palace, Coronation Palace, and the famous Emerald Buddha. Later this afternoon, board a rice barge for a relaxing dinner cruise along the central thoroughfare of Bangkok, the Chao Phraya River. (B, D)

Day 10: Bangkok - Hong Kong
Your flight today brings you to Hong Kong. This city has become a haven of Western civilization mixing with the cultures of the East. You will stay in Kowloon, located in the heart of Hong Kong's bustling shopping district. (B)

Day 11: Hong Kong
A tour of Hong Kong's business district and the fishing village of Aberdeen is complemented by time for bargain hunting at the Stanley Market. Later, you are whisked by tram to Victoria Peak for dinner and a spectacular view of Hong Kong and its harbour. (B, D)

Day 12: Hong Kong
Enjoy some leisure time exploring Hong Kong on your own. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase custom-made clothing sewn by some of the most talented tailors in the world.
